This program is intended specifically for refugees and asylum-seekers who are required to attend vocational school. Alongside an increased development of linguistic competence and general academic subjects, the focus during these 2 years is on career-orientation. This seeks to enable students to make the transition to dual vocational training.
According to § 4 Admission Requirements of the Vocational Basic Educational Ordinance (Berufsgrundbildungsverordnung) – GrBiBFSV of March 1, 2016 (amended by ordinance of September 04, 2018) the following persons will be admitted to this course of study:
- Those who are required to attend vocational school in the state of Brandenburg,
- those who are not attending a full-time education at school or at a vocational school at the start-time of this course’s instruction,
- Or those who do not have sufficient knowledge of German.
In the case of deviation from 1., admission is only possible on the condition of available places.
